How to Pay without Logging in (Unregistered and Registered), or by Logging in

For easier payments, you can now pay both one-time invoices and subscriptions via credit card or ACH without creating an AdvicePay account or logging in to your existing account!


Payment Process for Unregistered Clients (clients that don't yet have an AdvicePay account with a password created)

When you're added as a client and an invoice is requested by your advisor, the invoice link along with a PDF copy of the invoice(s) will be sent to you via email.

Once you click on the payment link, we will automatically direct you to a page that looks like this:

  1. From this page, you can choose to continue and pay without logging in by entering your payment information on the left and once added, clicking Pay.

  2. Options to pay are on the left side showing US Bank Account or Card. (Should they both be available from the Advisor).

Here is a quick gif of paying via ACH and without logging in(if registered, the last page will say log in, if not it wil say create an account). First, click on the invoice to get here:

This is the process of how to pay without logging in with a Credit Card looks:



To Register an AdvicePay Account, before paying, you must click on the link from their invoice first, and then on the screen locate and click on Create an Account under Card on the left side. From there it will take you to a page that looks like this:

***AdvicePay does this as extra security to ensure the client is the one who clicked the link.

Next, you will need to go to their email and find the newest email from AdvicePay). All emails come from (info@app.advicepay.com) with the Subject line: "AdvicePay Password Reset."

Once they click on the blue button that says "Reset your password" they will see this screen to do so:

Once the password is created you will be signed into your account and will be on the client Dashboard. as below:

Note: When you pay a one-time invoice without creating an account/logging in, we save the payment information for future use if you were to register/log in to your account. However, if you pay additional invoices in the future without registering/logging in, you will still be required to re-enter their payment information.

If you should decide to register their account at a later date, your Paid invoice(s) will display in your account as normal! To register you will either need to receive a new invoice or your account invitation link (both available via your advisor).


Payment Process for Registered Clients Who Do Not Want to Log In (clients that have an account and password, but choose not to log in to pay)

When you receive an invoice from your advisor and you've previously registered your account, the invoice link sent to you will automatically direct you to a page that looks similar to this:


Throughout this process, you may choose to pay without logging in, or you can log in to your account before paying if you so choose.

To pay Pay without logging in, you will continue with the same steps as outlined above in the gifs. Simply enter the payment information then click on Pay to submit the payment.

Note: Even if you have a saved payment method in your registered account, it will not display on the screen for security purposes. You'll be required to re-enter your payment information unless you choose to log in to your account. If you have two or more bank accounts in your account, you will be required to log in.

Invoices paid when not logged in will be viewable via your account when you next log in!


Where Clients can Log in if they already have an account and password

If you already have an account you can log in using the Sign in (see image below).

Alternatively, if you want to Create an Account, you can do this right away where the link will automatically take you to create a password (this action will only happen if you click on the invoice to take you to the page to pay). From there you can pay inside of your account.

If you need to reset your password, please click on the Sign in link above, then use the Forgot your password link below.

Once it opens, enter your email (only emails that are in AdvicePay will receive a password reset email link), and we will send you an automatic email from info@app.advicepay.com.

If you are not seeing the forgot password email, please be sure to search your inbox for emails from info@app.advicepay.com as it may have gone somewhere else. What about making a payment when there is a document requiring eSignature? 

If you have a document to sign that is attached to one of your one-time invoices, you can still pay without logging in if you would like to.


Simply click on the blue button in your email from your Advisor and you will be prompted to sign the document. If there is more than one signer on the document, you will either be prompted to pay right after signing, or you will receive a separate invoice via email when the invoice is available for payment.


can proceed to payment when all required signatures are collected. 

if the document is attached to an invoice, if you are the last signer, you will be prompted to make the payment on the same screen.
